Sales Letter Template
Writes persuasive long-form sales letters using direct response marketing techniques. Builds desire through storytelling, stacks benefits, handles objections, and guides the reader to a confident purchase decision.
Usage
Describe the product or service, price point, target buyer, and the main transformation or outcome it delivers. Include any guarantees, bonuses, or limited-time offers. Specify the medium (email, web page, print).
Examples
- "Write a sales letter for a $997 online course teaching freelancers how to land enterprise clients"
- "Create a direct response letter for a health supplement targeting men over 40 concerned about energy levels"
- "Draft a sales page for a $49/month mastermind community for early-stage startup founders"
Guidelines
- Open with a headline that speaks to the reader's biggest desire or pain point, not your product name
- Use the storytelling lead to build emotional connection before introducing the product
- Stack benefits in groups of three, progressing from logical to emotional to identity-level outcomes
- Include a risk-reversal section (money-back guarantee, free trial) to reduce perceived risk of purchase
- Use multiple close attempts throughout the letter; not all readers need the same amount of persuasion
