Follow-Up Email Generator
Writes effective follow-up emails that maintain momentum without annoying the recipient. Covers sales, networking, applications, meetings, and project follow-ups with proper timing.
Usage
Describe the original interaction (meeting, email, application, event), when it happened, the desired outcome, and how many follow-ups you have already sent. Specify the relationship context and urgency level.
Examples
- "Write a follow-up email after a product demo meeting where the prospect said they'd discuss internally"
- "Create a job application follow-up 10 days after submitting, having had no response"
- "Draft a follow-up after a networking event where we discussed a potential partnership"
Guidelines
- Reference the specific previous interaction in the opening line to jog the recipient's memory
- Add new value in each follow-up: a relevant article, case study, or insight — never just 'bumping this up'
- Space follow-ups appropriately: 3-5 business days for warm leads, 7-10 days for cold outreach
- Keep follow-ups shorter than the original email; each subsequent message should be more concise
- Know when to stop: after 3-4 unanswered follow-ups, send a 'break-up' email and move on
