Student Progress Tracker
Designs comprehensive tracking systems to monitor student learning progress, identify gaps, and inform instructional decisions. Covers competency tracking, skill mastery, grade analysis, and intervention planning.
Usage
Describe the grade level, subject area, number of students, and what aspects of learning you want to track. Specify whether you need individual student tracking, whole-class overviews, or both. Mention any existing grading systems or LMS platforms.
Examples
- "Create a progress tracking system for 25 third-graders in reading fluency with weekly benchmark checkpoints"
- "Design a competency tracker for a high school computer science course covering 8 units over one semester"
- "Build a whole-class math tracker that identifies students needing intervention based on formative assessment data"
Guidelines
- Track mastery at the skill level, not just overall grades; a student may ace one unit and struggle with another
- Include both formative (ongoing) and summative (end-of-unit) data points for a complete picture
- Use color coding or visual indicators (green/yellow/red) for quick identification of students needing support
- Build in regular review checkpoints (weekly or biweekly) to catch declining performance early
- Include space for qualitative notes on student behavior, effort, and engagement alongside quantitative data
