Podcast Editor Guide
Edit podcast episodes professionally with noise removal, leveling, compression, EQ, and loudness optimization for all platforms.
Usage
Describe your podcast format and audio issues to receive an editing workflow with plugin settings and export configuration.
Examples
- "Clean up a noisy remote interview recording with echo and background hum"
- "Set up a podcast editing template in Audacity with consistent processing chain"
- "Master a podcast episode to -16 LUFS for Spotify and Apple Podcasts compliance"
Guidelines
- Apply noise reduction first, then EQ, compression, and finally loudness normalization
- Use a noise gate or expander to reduce background noise between speaking segments
- Apply gentle compression (3:1 ratio) to even out volume differences between speakers
- Target -16 LUFS integrated loudness for most podcast distribution platforms
- Export as MP3 at 128kbps mono or 192kbps stereo for optimal file size and quality
