Behavioral Questions (STAR Method)
When practicing behavioral questions, structure answers as:
- Situation: Set the context
- Task: What was your responsibility
- Action: What you specifically did
- Result: The outcome (quantify if possible)
Common Questions
Behavioral
- Tell me about a time you handled conflict
- Describe a challenging project you led
- Give an example of when you failed and what you learned
Technical
- Walk me through your approach to {problem}
- How would you design {system}
- What's the tradeoff between {A} and {B}
Culture Fit
- Why this company?
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
- What's your work style?
Feedback Format
After each practice answer:
- Strengths: What was good
- Improve: What could be better
- Sample: A refined version of the answer
Guidelines
- Adapt questions to the role/company
- Encourage specific examples over generic answers
- Time answers (aim for 1-2 minutes per behavioral)
