Baidu Integrates OpenClaw for 700 Million Users

Source: CNBC

Chinese tech giant Baidu has integrated OpenClaw into its main search app, making personal AI agents available to over 700 million users. The rollout coincided with the Lunar New Year period, one of China's busiest consumer moments.

Users can now message an AI agent directly within the Baidu app for scheduling, file management, code assistance, and general Q&A. Previously, OpenClaw-based agents were only accessible through Telegram, WhatsApp, and Discord.

The integration marks the first time a major consumer platform has embedded OpenClaw at this scale. Baidu is also rolling out the technology across its e-commerce properties, allowing AI agents to assist with product recommendations and customer support.

"This validates what we've always believed — AI agents work best when they meet users where they already are," said a Baidu spokesperson.
